Sunrise Alarm Clock with Bluetooth & White Noise

Is a Sunrise Alarm Clock Worth It Instead of a Phone Alarm?

Not yet tested

A sunrise lamp that also does Bluetooth audio and 15 white-noise tracks. We have not tested this one yet, so there is no Vibe Score. Below is what the specification actually claims, and how it lines up against the sleep gear we have tested.

Sunrise Alarm Clock with Bluetooth & White Noise

What worked

  • Sunrise simulation ramps from deep amber to full daylight over 30 minutes
  • 15 built-in white noise and nature tracks for the falling-asleep half of the night
  • Bluetooth audio, so it doubles as a bedside speaker
  • 90 RGBCW light beads with app colour control for use as an atmosphere lamp
  • USB powered, so it runs from any adapter or powered hub

Tradeoffs

  • We have not measured peak brightness or how gradual the ramp actually feels in a blacked-out room
  • Full colour and schedule control needs the companion app
  • USB powered means no battery backup if it gets unplugged overnight
  • Plug standard is chosen at checkout, so pick US unless you specifically need EU

Who it's for

A bedside lamp that brightens from deep amber to full daylight over 30 minutes, plays white noise at night, and never needs your phone in the room

What a Sunrise Lamp Actually Does

A phone alarm works by shock. It fires at full volume regardless of which sleep stage you are in, which is why waking from a deep stage feels so much worse than waking naturally. A sunrise lamp inverts that: it starts producing light well before your alarm time and ramps slowly, so you surface gradually rather than all at once.

This unit runs that ramp over 30 minutes, from a deep amber through to full daylight. The other half of the pitch is the night end — 15 white noise and nature tracks, plus Bluetooth so it can play your own audio. In principle that covers both edges of the night from one device on the nightstand, and keeps your phone out of the bedroom entirely.

How It Compares to What We Have Tested

The closest thing in our tested range is the Restnature white noise machine, which does the falling-asleep half well but has no wake function at all. The Bluetooth sleep mask covers audio and blackout but, obviously, cannot wake you with light.

So the honest framing is this: if you already own a white noise machine, the wake-up light is the only new capability here, and you are paying $69.99 for it. If you own neither, this consolidates two nightstand devices into one — which is a real argument, and the reason we stocked it.

What We Cannot Tell You Yet

We have not run this for our minimum seven days, so we have not measured the things that actually decide whether a sunrise lamp works: peak brightness at the pillow, how smooth the ramp feels in a properly dark room, whether the app holds its schedule, and whether the speaker is good enough to be worth using. Those are the four things our test will cover. Until then this page carries no Vibe Score, by design.

Testing Status

We have not finished testing this one yet. It is in the queue, and this page will carry a Vibe Score and per-category results once we have used it for at least 7 days. Everything below comes from the manufacturer specification and from comparing it against products we have tested — not from hands-on measurement.

Why there is no score yet. We do not publish a Vibe Score for a product we have not used. When we do, it comes with the per-category results behind it. Read our full methodology.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which plug type should I choose?

Pick US unless you are shipping to Europe. The USB option ships with a USB-A cable and no wall plug, which suits anyone who already has a spare adapter or wants to run it from a powered hub.

Can it wake you without any sound at all?

Yes. The sunrise simulation and the audio are independent, so you can run a silent light-only wake-up. That is the main reason people buy this style of clock.

Does it work as a normal Bluetooth speaker?

The specification says yes, it streams music or podcasts directly. We have not assessed the audio quality, so treat it as a convenience feature rather than a reason to buy.

Why is there no Vibe Score on this page?

Because we have not used it for our minimum seven days yet. We do not publish a score for a product we have not tested. When we do, the score arrives with the per-category results behind it.
